Steampunk flight

Good morning to everyone and although its very frosty here in the south west of Scotland the sun is shining and I am having a crafty day :-)

Today I am sharing an easel card, which I made with two challenges in mind and also for a 'Very Special' male birthday.

Over at Our Creative Corner Challenge, Claudia has chosen Steampunk Tic Tac Toe as her theme and I have chosen letters, texture and wire. Over at Sandee's & Amelie's Steampunk Challenge the theme is Balloon Balloon.

I love Steampunk and its been some time since I made anything in this theme.  The stamps are from Oxford Impressions London Telegraph set. I also used  the TH  Gears die from Sizzix and various embossing folders, which I cut up and adhered randomly before painting with TH Distress Paint in Vintage Photo. You can just see the Treasure Gold wax highlighting the various background layers.

I have attached a few more photo's below :

    Amazing!
The most brilliant coming together of the O.I. stamps and that background is fabulous.
    A very special card indeed.
It is funny as you will see that I have been playing with that set (and the Steampunk sets) for a birthday card, it is my Dad's birthday today but I will not be sharing the card quite yet.
